The Marketing & Communications Committee manages EcoWB’s digital presence, focusing on website design, content creation, and online engagement. We are looking for web designers, videographers, and writers to help amplify our impact. Assignments are flexible and tailored to your skills and interests, whether in digital marketing, storytelling, or creative design.

Key Activities:

  • Contribute to website updates, graphic design, or video production.
  • Develop engaging content for EcoWB’s website, social media, and outreach efforts.
  • Assist in digital marketing strategies to expand EcoWB’s reach.
  • Support branding and messaging initiatives for environmental campaigns.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance EcoWB’s online engagement.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience or interest in web design, social media, video production, or writing
  • Creativity and ability to develop compelling digital content

Ecologists Without Borders (EcoWB) is a volunteer-led, science-driven organization connecting skilled professionals to verified eco-projects. We provide the guidance, infrastructure, and knowledge needed for small organizations to create environmental solutions for their communities.

The Fundraising Committee plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial sustainability of EcoWB by developing and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and overseeing fundraising campaigns and events. Committee members work closely with the Executive Director and Board to support fundraising efforts and donor stewardship.

Possible Activities:

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of annual fundraising strategies.
  • Help organize and participate in fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Identify potential donors and maintain relationships with existing supporters.
  • Assist in researching grants and drafting funding proposals.
  • Track fundraising progress and share updates with the committee.
  • Provide input on fundraising tools and strategies.

Position Title: GIS Specialist

Ecologists Without Borders (EcoWB) is a volunteer-led, science-driven organization connecting skilled professionals to verified eco-projects. We provide the guidance, infrastructure, and knowledge needed for small organizations to create environmental solutions for their communities.

The GIS Specialist will support EcoWB projects worldwide by contributing to mapping, spatial analysis, and data visualization efforts. This role involves managing spatial data, producing high-quality maps, and conducting geospatial analyses to enhance environmental conservation and resource management initiatives. The GIS team also works to formalize EcoWB’s Standards of Practice.

Desired Skills:

Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and geospatial data management
Experience with spatial analysis techniques and tools
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for GIS and automation (preferred)
Strong cartographic skills and attention to detail in map production
Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Position Title: Outreach Committee Member
Time Commitment: 5h/month

Ecologists Without Borders (EcoWB) is a volunteer-led, science driven organization of concerned ecologists and activists who are taking a novel approach to service. We connect skilled professionals to verified eco-projects, providing the guidance, infrastructure, and knowledge needed for small organizations to create environmental solutions for their communities.

The outreach committee welcomes new project makers and helps maintain current EcoWB partnerships. There is a diverse range of assignments for skilled volunteers, depending on your specialty and interest, with work generally focused on building relationships.

We are accepting applications from not those with 1 year plus of outreach, communication, or project coordination experience, as well as any trained ecologists.

Positions are flexible, requiring as little as four hours/month of service for participating in committee business. We are meeting and operating within Western Hemisphere time zones.

As we continue to grow our organization and build capacity, we are looking to train the next generation of EcoWB volunteers to help us organize a close-knit global network of scientists and project makers. You may specialize in supporting our developing projects, working with consulting firms, or our partnerships.

Members attend a monthly meeting and have regular communications with the Co-Chairs. This is a chance to learn how a lean environmental NGO organization can scale its operations and for you to connect directly with one or more of our projects.
